Terms and Conditions of Entry


Promoter: WAO Superclub (the “Promoter”)

Venue: 330 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia

Host Venue: Ivy Sydney



 3.⁠ ⁠Competition Period

3.1 The Competition opens and closes on the dates specified in official promotional materials (AEDT/AEST Sydney time).

3.2 Late, incomplete, or indecipherable entries may be deemed invalid at the Promoter’s discretion.

 4.⁠ ⁠Entry Requirements

4.1 Each entrant may submit the number of entries specified in promotional materials.

4.2 Entries must:

• be the entrant’s original work;

• not infringe third-party rights;

• not contain offensive, defamatory, or unlawful material.

4.3 The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrant eligibility.

 5.⁠ ⁠Judging Criteria (Game of Skill)

5.1 Entries will be judged by a panel appointed by WAO Superclub.

5.2 Judging criteria may include, but is not limited to:

• RNB track selection and programming

• Mixing and technical skill

• Crowd engagement / performance ability

• Creativity and originality

5.3 Judging will occur at a time and location determined by the Promoter.

5.4 The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

(Games of skill generally do not require permits in Australian jurisdictions.) 

 6.⁠ ⁠Finalists & Live Performance Rounds

6.1 Selected finalists may be required to perform live sets at WAO Superclub or ivy Sydney.

6.2 Finalists must comply with all venue rules, licensing laws, and safety requirements.

6.3 Failure to attend a scheduled performance may result in disqualification.

7.⁠ ⁠Prize

7.1 The prize(s) will be as described in promotional materials and may include DJ bookings, cash, equipment, or promotional opportunities.

7.2 Prize values are in Australian dollars.

7.3 Prizes are not transferable or redeemable for cash unless stated.

 1.⁠ ⁠Information on How to Enter

1.1 Entry into the WAO Superclub RNB DJ Competition (the “Competition”) is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

1.2 The Competition is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining winners.

1.3 To enter, eligible entrants must complete the official entry process specified in promotional materials, including submission of DJ mix and/or performance materials as requested.

 2.⁠ ⁠Eligibility

2.1 Entry is open to Australian residents aged 18 years or over at the time of entry.

2.2 Employees, contractors, performers, promoters, or immediate family members of WAO Superclub, ivy Sydney, or associated agencies are ineligible.

2.3 Entrants must be legally permitted to perform in licensed venues in New South Wales.

7.4 The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value.

8.⁠ ⁠Winner Notification & Publication

8.1 Winners will be notified by phone, email, or social media within a reasonable period after judging.

8.2 Winners may be announced on WAO Superclub and ivy Sydney websites or social channels.

8.3 Entrants consent to publication of their DJ name, image, and performance content for promotional purposes.

(NSW competitions typically require reasonable efforts to notify winners.) 

 9.⁠ ⁠Intellectual Property

9.1 Entrants retain ownership of their submitted mixes and materials.

9.2 By entering, entrants grant WAO Superclub and ivy Sydney a perpetual, royalty-free licence to:

• play, broadcast, or stream entries

• use entries for marketing, promotion, or media

• record live performances

9.3 Entrants warrant their entry does not infringe copyright or moral rights.

10.⁠ ⁠Conduct & Venue Compliance

10.1 Entrants must comply with all laws and venue regulations, including:

• NSW liquor licensing laws

• responsible service of alcohol requirements

• safety and security directions

10.2 The Promoter may disqualify any entrant engaging in:

• unsafe behaviour

• harassment or discrimination

• intoxicated or illegal conduct

• damage to venue or equipment

11.⁠ ⁠Privacy

11.1 Personal information is collected to administer the Competition.

11.2 Information may be used for promotion, publicity, and future marketing by WAO Superclub.

11.3 The Promoter will handle personal information in accordance with Australian privacy law.

(Competition T&Cs should disclose data use and privacy practices.) 

12.⁠ ⁠Liability

12.1 To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for:

• lost, late, or misdirected entries

• technical or equipment failures

• injury or loss during participation

• events beyond reasonable control

12.2 Nothing excludes rights under the Australian Consumer Law.

13.⁠ ⁠Disqualification

The Promoter may disqualify any entrant who:

• breaches these Terms

• submits false information

• tampers with the entry process

• behaves in a manner damaging to the Promoter or venue

14.⁠ ⁠Variation or Cancellation

The Promoter may modify, suspend, or cancel the Competition if it cannot be conducted as planned due to circumstances beyond its control, subject to applicable laws.

15.⁠ ⁠Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.

Entrants submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of NSW courts.
